Roy holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and has spent over 25 years making complex technology understandable. In 2012 he became Director of IT at Calgary Arts Academy, transforming a struggling program from a 1:5 student-to-device ratio to near 1:1 — cutting average device costs by 40% and migrating the school to Office 365 in 2017, a move that made their switch to online learning during COVID-19 nearly seamless.
